Sunday Jan 20 WOW Cold 16 Degrees

My first ever run outside in the teens and it was GREAT!  A little slippery in spots and dark (I ran at 8pm) but my headlamp,double layer of pants, ski balaclava and fleece gloves worked out perfect.  I actually wore my winter coat which while warm was not ventilated do I was sweating!  42 minutes and 4.25 miles:-)

Saturday Jan 19 Run Camp 40 Degrees

Great run and weather today.  We did 6 miles pacing about 9:45.  It was around 40 with a good wind.  Glad I brought gloves and a headband!   Asics coat is working out great with just one layer under it along with my Sugoi Thermals.  Bought new shoes Brooks Ghost GTX - which were great!  Ran with Margo, Courtney and Ally.  So nice to have company!

27 Degree Run

I survived my first cold run of the season.  Comfortable actually in pants and a few layers.  Ran 4 miles at a 9:15 pace.   I am proud of that!

It's a Treadmill Run

Thanks to my first responsibliy of Mom - today was a treadmill day.  While Bogua played Wii Mommy got 3.3 miles in.  I don't mind the treadmill but always find myself with OCD kicking in and organizing our workout room in the middle of a run because it drives me crazy!
Bayshore Marathon Schedule is now printed - It says Active Rest for today..isn't 3 miles active rest:)

First Run Camp Saturday

You couldn't ask for better weather for our first Saturday.  It was 50 degrees but a little windy.  While waiting to start I added layers I did not need.  Running into the wind wasn't bad but it was hot heading back.  Note to self next 50 degree day shorts and long sleeve will workout just fine!
3 miles logged.  10:15 pace.  Goal is to get to 9:30 pace by Gazelle Girl Half!

Signed up for the 25K Gazelle Running Camp

I attended the Gazelle Fifth Third 25K Run Camp Info Night - came home and signed up.  The first run is this Saturday!  I am excited to meet some new people and have some accountability and conversation during the long runs!
As for today 3 miles logged at 10:00 pace and a mile walk after a 10 hour work day.

24 Hour Post Cortisone Epidural Run

I finally came clean with my back Doctor.  I told him I felt better this summer when running then I do now taking it easy on my back.  He said "Kim, you only get so many heartbeats you know (with a smile)" ....he also said he won't order another MRI until later since he knows I won't opt for surgery:-)  He's right. 
So back on the horse today.  3 Miles early at SNAP with Erin followed by a mile run.   Now to decide on Run Camp or keep training solo...hmmm decisions decisions:)

CT 45 Minutes

After realizing that Urgent Care had a 2 1/2 hour wait...I just bit the bullet and did my 45 min CT in a little pain.  Mission accomplished for the day.  Just hope the Dr tomorrow can fix me up:)  Happy Foot will make for better training!

New Years Day - Goal 3 Miles

Well it pays off to not drink on NYE when you want to get up in the morning and exercise!  After watching some great fireworks from our neighbor and staying up til 12:30 to watch Justin Bieber (for Caden of course) we called it a night.   You can tell it's a new year - I counted 20 people at SNAP this morning!
So my Training Plan called for 3 miles - And I ran 3:-)  Still in pain from my treadmill fall so I think Dr. Scott will be getting a call but its Day 1 complete for me:)
